The form that music comes in nowadays, have changed drastically with time. I remember when music was still on vinyl records, then there were cassettes and then CDs and Midis and then before we knew it, it went digital. Practically non-existent. Well, non-existent in a way that you can't physically hold your music albums anymore -- unless it's in the form of an MP3 player or iPod, that is.

The husband and I still keep a lot of our vinyls and CDs and plan to add more to our collection. It's a novelty thing and the kids get a hoot out of it.

Some of our vinyls

Anyways, Universal Music is having a Best of The Best 2011 offer which offers consumers up to 30% discount for a wide selection of their CDs. That means it only costs RM29.90 for a single disc CD and RM39.90 for a double-disc CD! CD lovers better hurry up! Offer ends August 31st, 2011!

Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5 ft Christina Aguilera

You all know who Mick Jagger is, right?

If you don't, probably you're too young or perhaps you were living in the boondocks somewhere and don't have access to coolness. Anyways, I won't bother to tell you, you have internet, you can Google it yourself.

If you DO know who Mick Jagger is, then you'd know that he moves like no other. Even Maroon 5 felt compelled to sing about his moves. Anyways, my kids and I looooooooove this song and we dance to it and do our own "Jaggermoves".

So since it's Monday, why not let loose and get rid of those Monday blues?

Happy Music Monday, everyone!

Come join Music Monday and share your songs with us. Rules are simple. Leave ONLY the ACTUAL LINK POST here and grab the code below and place it at your blog entry. Luxury Bathroom Designs (for Children too!)

Posted by Shemah Sham | 8/07/2011 08:01:00 AM in | 0 comments

If there is one thing about interior home designs that I love more than wardrobe space and masterclass kitchens, is definitely having a wonderful bathroom.

I don't know about you guys, but the measure of a good bathroom is by the ability to sleep in it. Having a luxury bathroom is one of my dreams. A place where I can soak in my bath salts and feel content and at peace in my sanctuary.

However, there is a downside. I have a brood of water loving children and I can't imagine cleaning up a massive bathroom after they're done taking a bath. Perhaps I can design their own bathroom into their own personal bathing haven.

Besides, if I can afford a luxury bathroom, I hope to be able to afford cleaning services too! LOL! :)

Tips On Getting Good Life Insurance Rates

Posted by Shemah Sham | 8/07/2011 07:36:00 AM in ,| 0 comments

Getting the right life insurance for you that suits all your needs whether you're single or married can be quite tedious and intimidating. Especially when you've got insurance agents coming at you left and right trying to get you to buy their policy.

The rates you pay for insurance policies differ from your risk factor, which is why here are some good tips to know when getting life insurance.

Your health. Most life insurance policies require that you undergo medical check ups to ascertain your medical condition. The bigger the risk you are, say, if you have hypertension/diabetes, the higher the rate you have to pay.

Your age and gender. Normally, the younger you are, the cheaper the rate due to the long-term rate. I hear women also have a lower rate due to the fact that their life expectancy is longer than that of men. So if you're still young and bushy tailed, so to speak, this is your time to insure your life with a lower rate. However, if you don't have any dependents (a spouse or children), there's not really a reason to rush into it.

Smoking. Smokers tend to pay triple the rate compared to a non-smoker. Unless you don't own up to the fact that you smoke, which is not advisable really. Insurance companies will smoke you out if they find out.

Driving Record. Your driving record says a lot about you and the risk factor you're in. A lot of traffic violations or summonses or a DUI or two is enough to tell insurance companies about yourself.

Your Hobbies. Nothing screams HIGH RISK like a person who's into Xtreme sports like skydiving, bungee jumping, race cars, dirt bike racing and the like.

Basically, insurance companies try to insure people who are least likely to be "pushing daisies". But we all know that it doesn't matter how old you are, or how low your risk factor is, when The Reaper comes a'calling, there's no stopping it.

Personalized stationery has become increasingly popular these recent years. Instead of writing and giving out thank you notes on normal cards, there's just a personal touch when you send someone a greeting card or note using your personalized stationery. It's rather pretentious, some might say, but I think it gives off a really nice touch.

I'm not saying that it's means more because personalized or not, it's the thought that counts. It's just a wee bit more special and it can become your own personal trademark. Whether it's signing off with invitationbox.com personalized stamps or Christmas cards specially printed with your family photos (whatever floats your boat), chances of people remembering you or keeping your notes or greeting cards are higher.

I, personally think the monogrammed notes and cards are really pretty and I'd love to have some specially printed out for me for sending out letters or thank you notes.

But my all time favorite personalized stationery has to be Prince Harry's! I just love his monogrammed note with a crown on top of his initial. Even his stationery is drool worthy. LOL! Don't you just love it?
