Prince Harry: The entire world can see your bald spot.
Prince William: Shut up, dickwad.
Prince Harry: Can’t all the money in grannie’s royal treasury buy you a decent weave?
Prince William: Harry, I swear to god.
Prince Harry: Don’t let Kate see that. She might leave you for a man with hair. Like meeeee!
LOL! Got this from brillianceofbone and thought it was pretty funny! I mean no disrespect to the royal family, of course.

But in all seriousness, did you watch the Royal Wedding? What did you think of it? I thought it was a ceremony fit for a king! Beautiful wedding!

Best Birthday Ever!

It was my son's birthday recently and I pondered for a long while on what to get him. He's turning 7 years old and he's had his fair share of toys all throughout the years so I knew I didn't want to get him another toy. Especially going through Toys 'R' Us the week before and checking the prices on the barcode scanner practically gave me a heart attack.

My son is actually a pretty outgoing boy. He's pretty shy but since he started school, he has come out of his shell quite a bit. He's more adventurous than before and he loves to try new stuff. Last year he tried out the Lex slide which is the world's tallest indoor slide equivalent to a 5-storey high building located at Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya.

So I made a deal with the birthday boy and told him that instead of getting him a present, I'd bring him anywhere he wants to. He told me he'll decide between going to Aquaria KLCC, KL Bird Park or Sunway Lagoon.

He finally decided on a whole day of fun and adventure at Sunway Lagoon and we had a BLAST!

The weather was super kind to us, the sun was shining, the wind was blowing coolly on our faces and I swear I could hear birds chirping!! LOL! It only started raining when we were going back! In my son's words, it was "the best birthday EVER!!".

I'm glad that he enjoyed himself and that he preferred it more than receiving a present. Although I spent more on the theme park entry compared to buying a toy, the fact that everyone enjoyed themselves and spent time together, creating memories to last a lifetime.. well, it's priceless!:)

Well, the day was even made better when he came home and my mother who flew down all the way from KK, gave him his birthday present! He couldn't believe his eyes and he went speechless. Actually, I did too. I can't believe my mom! I'm happy and grateful but still a wee bit annoyed with my mom. She knows where I stand on this but.. oh well.. grandmothers! That's what they do!

Happy Birthday, buddy!

Calculating Poker Odds

The first time I've ever heard of card counting actually being done in the casino was when I watched the movie 21 a couple of years back.

The movie, starring Kevin Spacey, Jim Sturgess and Kate Bosworth (among others) is a must watch for any fans of casino gambling. The movie is actually a fact-based story about six MIT students who were trained to become experts in card counting and subsequently took Vegas casinos for millions in winnings.

What card counting does is that it basically keeps track of the ratio of high cards to low cards in blackjack and its derivatives. Card counters can accurately know exactly when to hit, stand, split, or double down. Nowadays, though, casinos are doing all they can, spend lots of money and way to develop a way to thwart card counters.

Although I'm not one to gamble, I did come across an online poker software called Texas Calculatem which is a #1 selling poker odds calculator. Basically, it uses complex algorithms to calculate odds and provide the best advice for every situation, taking into account cards, position, fold depth and playing style. It's not the same as card counting it just basically helps increase your odds of winning and advising you when to fold just by using statistics.

Texas Calculatem Poker Odds Calculator in mini mode
If you're worried that this Calculatem software is considered cheating, you have nothing to worry about. This software does not play Texas Hold'em for you, thus not violating the rules or policies of any online Texas Hold'em poker room. What it does is just give you poker odd and doesn't use any information you don't already have. It also doesn't read your opponent's cards nor share your cards with anyone else.

So if you're entering a poker tournament soon, this may just be the poker tournament software you're looking for! As fun as it is to play online poker, to all players out there, please be reminded that you should all practice responsible gaming at all times! Good luck!

As you all know, Malaysia doesn't have four seasons.. We only have wet or dry, hot and cold seasons.. which is fine with me. But I do miss seeing the flowers and trees bloom in Spring. It's so gorgeous! :)

However, having these unpredictable weather changes, wet in the morning, dry in the afternoon and cold at night (which is the norm these past few days), it makes my allergies act up. Besides, sneezing is never cute.... unless you're Simba.

I can't help it.. it's hot, humid, the moisture levels are all haywire.. it doesn't help me at all. I'm seriously thinking of getting one of those anti allergen dehumidifiers in hopes that it will really keep my allergies in check. I just hate people thinking I'm sick all the time!

One Crazy Summer

Summer is approaching fast and if you're planning to spend the next 3 months of your summer on the road, then perhaps this is the best time for you to check out some great rv loans! I remember summers spent in the U.S. and my parents would pack all 5 of us in the car, (4 siblings and my grandmother) and just roam across the country. Stopping at rest stops and sleeping in the van. Back then my parents figured it was safe (despite the serial killer boom in the 80s) but now, I don't think I could persuade my mom to spend her time in a road trip across the U.S.

For those who have just graduated high school and only going to college in the fall, this is the best time to gather friends and go for a memorable road trip that you guys would never forget! It sorta reminds me of that 80s film that I love so much -- One Crazy Summer. I had a mad crush on John Cusack back then!

Personal Creations For Your Special Someone

Wow, without you realizing it, it's already April! 2011 is really not holding it's horses, eh? So, what does April mean for all of you? April is the month that I get broke because a lot of people have birthdays in April.

One of my best girlfriends has a birthday on the 6th, and my mom's birthday is on the 7th and another friend's birthday is on the 15th and my son's birthday is on the 23rd. That's quite a lot of birthdays to plan and get gifts for.

My son is already bugging me and asking me what I'm getting for his birthday. I know my mom isn't expecting anything for her birthday but I really would like the children to send over a handmade birthday present. My mom is really BIG on handmade gifts. :) I "googled" around and found Personal Creations.com grandparent gift link and there were some really great stuff on that site.

So now that I'm sorta on the right track for my mom's gift, now all I've got to do is think of what I'm gonna get for my son who'll be turning 7 years old this year. :) I really don't want to get him another toy because those things just end up in his dusty toy chest or worse, it would be broken in a couple of years. Perhaps it's better to DO something rather than GET something. He's been wanting to go to the KL Bird Park for a while now so maybe we'll do that. Or perhaps go for a day out at the Sunway Lagoon water park. At least he'll remember it for a looong time to come, right? :)
