There's nothing more stressful than planning a wedding. Heck, even though it's my brother's wedding this coming March, I'M the one who's feeling stressed out with the whole planning. From the venue, dress, cake, wedding decor, seating chart, gift favors..
Hah.. you must be thinking why I'M the one who's stressed out right? Well, my future sister-in-law is the only girl in her family and she really needs a girl's help and I was more than glad to be of help. After all, there's so much to be done. I know she's trying to make her wedding more personable and something that screams HER so I have been helping her getting ideas for personalized gifts from www.personalcreations.com which has an array of wonderful gifts and ideas to make your occasion more special and more YOU.
So excuse me while I continue perusing the site for more stuff. Their wedding is less than 3 weeks away, so I've gotta finalize some things PRONTO!!
Glass Tiles for Bathrooms
Posted by Shemah Sham | 2/27/2011 11:59:00 AM in home and living| 0 comments
Right now, if there was one thing I could change about my home, it would have to be the bathroom. It's not that there's anything really wrong about it, but I love having a great bathroom! My mom's bathroom is really gorgeous that there have been many picture taking sessions in there.. fully clothed of course. I'm no Vanessa Hudgens, you know! LOL! :D
I just love having something done to the bathroom to make it feel "cozy"! LOL! I know I know, SOME of you might be thinking it's just a bathroom but really.. there's nothing wrong with making your bathroom cozy. Since I can't afford marble tiles for my bathroom, I think I'd go with some really nice glass tiles like the ones below.
So what do you guys think?
Sexy Survivor Workout

For today's workout courtesy of Zuzana from Bodyrock.tv, I have decided on this Destiny's Child inspired workout that sounds challenging enough and enough to make me feel like I could curl up in a corner and cry. Although just reading through the instructions of it all make me feel like I need to get an Energy diet pill to kick off the workout.
Here are the instructions for those of you who want to join me today:
This workout is 15 minutes long and it is made up of 3 parts. In the first part of the workout you will have to set your Interval Timer for 5 rounds of 10 and 50 second interval. Your goal is to complete as many reps as you can during each 50 second interval and write down your reps during the 10 second intervals. These are the exercises that you will be doing in the exact order:
1. Backward Lunge Kick Up (left leg)
2. Backward Lunge Kick Up (right leg)
3. One Arm Press UP (alternating arms for each rep)
4. 2 Kick Ups & Breakdance Push Up
5. Pike Jump & Squat Jump
Part 2 is a 5 minute count down and your goal is to complete as many reps of One Leg Squat & Jump Tuck (alternating legs after each rep) as possible.
Part 3 is the same as Part 1.
READY... SET... GO!!!
Marketing a product these days have never been more creative or funnier. I know, I am sucker for great advertisements like the new Old Spice Guy ad, or that slew of great print ads for the No Smoking campaign. These days, if you want to get your product out there, you've got to have a great marketing campaign. Most companies hire celebrities, popular sportsmen or public figures to endorse their product.
Some people even go the extra mile to hit you smack in the face with a mean ad. Just take a look at this ad for instance. Yet I'm sure people will remember their acne products for a long long time to come.
Once upon a time, I had a blackhead. This particular blackhead, I noticed, was more noticeable than the others. It became quite annoying and I looked into every "treatment for blackheads on nose" article I can find.
Now, this was when I was 17 years old. I didn't have it removed by a dermatologist because I figured I can do it by myself. I guess I was wrong because it has since been a permanent fixture to my face and resembles a mole. It's sooo friggin' annoying. I've set up an appointment with the dermatologist but my husband refuses to let me go because HE doesn't want it removed.
According to him, it gives my face character and he loves that I have it because that's how I looked when he first met me. Well, I'll let you judge for yourselves. Don't YOU guys think it should be removed??
If you've been following my workout progress since last year, then you would most likely think that I have dropped 3 dress sizes or something, right? Truth be told, I feel fitter and better but I know I still have a LONG way to go.
I won't lie, it has been quite frustrating that my progress has been quite slow and I know I have to revamp my eating habits to make it work even faster. That being said, I HAVE been receiving lots of compliments regarding how great I look nowadays. Right now, I just have to focus on speeding up the process of losing more fat and dropping more dress sizes!
During these times, I can't help but Google up nitrix reviews to take as supplements to help boost burn fat even faster. However, when it comes to it, I just tend to stick to the known over the unknown. Hopefully, in another couple of months, I'll finally reach my goal of getting down to a size UK6. Wish me luck!
4 Minute Pre Breakfast Workout

Here is another one of Zuzana's workout that I love trying out because it's oh so simple to do but it shoots my heart rate up like a slingshot. Also it helps me sneak in a quick vigorous workout when I simply don't have the time or have to many things to do.
This cardio routine is a great start for your day and it does wonders for your stamina as well.
Workout Breakdown:
The only thing that you need for this workout is your Gymboss Interval Timer. Set your timer for 12 rounds of two intervals. The first interval is 5 seconds and the second interval is 15 seconds long. You will be doing 2 bodyweight exercises back to back – high knees and mountain climbers. Use the 5 seconds in between each exercise to write down your reps because the next time you will try to beat your score.
With this routine, you'll be giving up your conjugated linoleic acid in NO time! Let's DO this!!
With the latest installment of the Transformers movie trilogy coming around this summer, I'm sure fans of the 80s cartoon will be excited to see what director Michael Bay has come up with for the third film.
Transformers: Dark Side of The Moon will be released in June of 2011 and although the second film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen fell short with the audience's expectations, I'm sure there are still some fans out there looking forward to the final film. Yes. Despite Michael Bay making it Transformers 3D this time around.
In this latest film, the Autobots race against time to seek a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and unlock it's secrets which could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle. I, for one, am excited to see Optimus Prime once again.
As a child growing up in the 80s and although bullied by my brothers to watch Transformers instead of Jem and The Holograms, I enjoyed watching Transformers nonetheless and practically worshiped the Autobots. It is a great joy to see that one of my favorite childhood cartoons have been relived into this movie.
What's so amazing is that, now, I get to share this with my own children and my son has learned to love what I used to love back when I was his age. HOWEVER, as excited and happy as we are about seeing Transformers return to the big screen, I know for a fact, that most parents are also dreading the fact that their children will be pestering us for the Transformers toys and action figures.
After the first film came out, my son pestered me for MONTHS to get him the Ultimate Bumblebee!
I wonder what he'll be asking for this time around. Optimus Prime 3D video games? Oh, and speaking of the release of the third film of Michael Bay's Transformers, anyone up for the LG Optimus 3D phone??
Ring, Ring, Hookah!

I believe it was the year I turned 18, that the hookah or shisha craze hit us big time. Well on these shores anyways. It's been 10 years (crap, I just gave away my age!) and I still see it being widely available in local eateries or local coffee shops..

iPhone4, Blackberry or HTC Desire?
Posted by Shemah Sham | 2/17/2011 02:23:00 AM in gadgets| 0 comments
It's hard to see anyone using any other phone BUT these three, nowadays. Well, if you want to see someone who's still using a lameass phone that doesn't even have wifi capabilities, then I suggest you make a date with me and my phone. Actually, what's more pathetic is that it isn't even MY phone. It's the husband's old phone.. He's using a Blackberry Bold now.
I'm the type that doesn't go changing what's not broken, so from the looks of it, I'll be using this phone for a little while longer. The phone I'm using now has been pretty kind to me and I don't think I'll be shelling out my hard earned $$$ for a phone just yet. It's definitely not on my top priorities at the moment, but that doesn't mean I say no to gifts and free things! So for those of you who have a background full of money trees, I'd be more than happy to receive any from you guys. :P
My the bulk of my family are using a Blackberry. 4 of them, including my husband. 2 of them are using the iPhone 3GS and 4. So I pretty much get to do a test run on each one of them. I must say that I do absolutely LOVE and ADORE the iPhone4, though.
However, I've heard lots of buzz on the HTC Desire and I haven't had the chance to get my hands on it to play with first. I've read a couple of htc desire reviews and it seems to be pretty good too. I know that my blogging buddy LadyJava has her eye on the HTC Desire too.
During the Chinese New Year weekend, since my sister didn't have to go to work, we spent most of our time just chillaxin' at home watching tv and the one show that made our hearts ache so much was the last ever Oprah's Favorite Things episode.
Oprah's Favorite Things episode is one of my favorite segments on Oprah ever! I remember back in the late 90's when she gave a Blackberry to all her audiences and I vowed then and there that I would own one someday. *ehem* Except I'm still trying to. LOL!
Anyways, during this particular show, Oprah gave away a 10 pc set of le creuset cookware and the audience gets to choose whatever color they want! The price for Le Creuset cookware ranges from $24.95 for a mini coccote to $520 per round French oven ones like in the ones below.
Le Creuset is recognised the world over for market-leading, premium quality ranges of enamelled cast iron cookware, multi-ply stainless steel, toughened non-stick, stoneware and ceramics, along with wine connoisseurs’ favourite - Screwpull corkscrews and wine accessories. Established in 1925, Le Creuset has been making world-class cookware for almost 100 years, innovation remains at the forefront of Le Creuset’s success. Used by leading chefs and keen cooks around the globe, Le Creuset cookware offers outstanding performance time after time.
Even though I'm not the world's greatest chef and that Pierre from Junior Masterchef can kick my fat ass at cooking, I would still LOVE to own even one item from Le Creuset!! One dayy.... hopefully... one dayy.....Perhaps I can start collecting them one by one..
Power Lift Chairs
Posted by Shemah Sham | 2/05/2011 10:01:00 PM in fitness and health, furniture, home and living| 0 comments
If you, like myself, spend hours in front of the PC or laptop with a rigid chair and suffer from backache because of it, I guess it's high time we got ourself a power lift chair before that back pain becomes even worse.
Back in my room in my mom's house, I have a Lazyboy that is super comfortable and relaxing but like I said, it's in my mom's house back in my hometown. There is no way I can bring THAT over here.
However, if you can't afford one just yet, exercising every 1-2 hours after using the PC helps a whole lot.
Just doing a plank for a minute helps minimize that back ache. Go ahead and try it out! :)
