Dubbed one of the world's yummiest and jaw dropping photographer (by yours truly) -- not to mention talented, Nigel Barker is a world renowned fashion photographer. He may be best known for his participation as a judge and photographer on the reality show America's Next Top Model.

Nigel Barker, a British native, of English and Sri Lankan descent, will be here in Malaysia for his "Inspiring Minds, Moving Hearts: Nigel Barker Photography Workshop" in the month of July. The workshops will take place in Langkawi followed by Kuala Lumpur.


Nigel Barker is scheduled to hold an exclusive 2 day-3 night Masterclass programme for a limited number of participants in Langkawi’s luxury Tanjung Rhu Resort on 20-22 July. This workshop programme is open to a maximum of only 30 participants.

Participants who will be accommodated at the luxury boutique Tanjung Rhu Resort, Langkawi, can expect up close and personal coaching from the celebrated photographer. The programme includes in-class tutorials with practical demo sessions as well as ‘out-and-about’ photoshoots in scenic Langkawi. The programme will culminate with a dinner cum exhibition with awards for the top 5 shots.

The former model turned fashion photographer/author/spokesperson/filmmaker will then be having a book signing in Kinokuniya, KLCC on July 23rd for his new book, "Beauty Equation" - Revealing A Better And More Beautiful You between 5-7pm. The book retails at RM76.56.


On July 24th, a 1-day workshop has been scheduled for participants at Ritz Carlton, Kuala Lumpur. The programme will comprise of classroom tutorials with demo and practical sessions. A maximum of 250 participants will have the opportunity to catch some of Barker’s professional tips on ‘Portraiture’, ‘In studio and On Location Lighting Techniques’, ‘Advertisement Photography’ and ‘The Business Behind The Image”. Langkawi Masterclass (20-22 July) - Participation fees stand at RM11,500 net per person. An Early Bird Discount of 15% will apply for all bookings paid in full by 20 June 2011. The fees includes 3 nights accommodation at the Tanjung Rhu Resort with a late check-out on the last day, meals, Langkawi airport transfers, an autographed copy of Nigel Barker’s new book, “Beauty Equation” and the Resort’s signature Beach BBQ dinner on the closing night.

Kuala Lumpur Workshop (24th July) - Fees for participants are priced at RM950 net per person. An Early Bird Discount of 15% applies for all bookings paid in full by 20 June 2011.
