Excess Baggage

Posted by Shemah Sham | 11/29/2009 11:10:00 AM in | 0 comments

When I was on the flight back to my hometown recently, the flight was slightly delayed because it took a while for some of the passengers to settle down. There was a couple and a 3-month old baby who were sitting on the wrong seats than was stated on the boarding pass. So when they had to move up front it took them forever because they had to carry sooo much luggage with them.

I don't know how they managed to bring all of those hand luggage with them.. what with the "1 hand carry per pax" rule. But I guess I'm not surprised considering I was on an
AirAsia flight. This couple brought had a COMFORTER tucked under the mother's arm, a baby bag for the baby's things, a pulley, a duffel bag, a paper bag and a basket. And when they moved up the aisle to their actual seat, the overhead compartments were already full. Plus, their duffel bag was sooo damn big!

If only they were using Eagle Creek luggage, I don't think they'll have much problem. It's compact, it looks light and it's meant to fit the overhead compartments. Anyways, I hope Malaysia Airlines flights won't be full for my return flight, I hate going on AirAsia.

That Sinking Feeling

Posted by Shemah Sham | 11/28/2009 01:50:00 AM in | 0 comments

I'm back at my mom's place for a loooong holiday and I just noticed that her stainless steel kitchen sink is still leaking. My husband changed the faucet a couple of months ago because it wasn't working properly. However, this time, I think it's not the faucet that's the problem, but the sink itself.

I guess it's high time to start thinking about getting a new sink. I visit to MrDirectInt.com might be in order. Not only do they offer extremely low prices, but they also offer same day shipping too! A great plus.. after all, anything can happen over the holidays right?

And here we go!

1. We need more of love and less of hate.

2. I was thinking about the time this picture was taken and it made me smile.

3. If you want to have a good laugh, you have to watch "Tom Cruise auditioning for New Moon"!!

4. I'm in a good mood because I just got some. Ice-cream, that is.

5. Massachusetts has a proposed 5% sales tax on elective cosmetic surgery; I think that information will get me nowhere.

6. Good food and great company makes for a happy holiday.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to updating Just Press Play and The Accidental Fashionista, tomorrow my plans include being jealous of Ane for watching New Moon and Sunday, I want to catch up on my favorite TV series!

New Moon Merchandise

Posted by Shemah Sham | 11/20/2009 07:10:00 PM in ,,| 0 comments

New Moon is out! So, have you all decided on your teams, yet?? Team Jacob? Team Edward? Team Wolfpack? Team Bella? Team Aro??

Whatever it is, I'm sure that the New Moon craze is not going to die down anytime soon. Poor Miley. Miley can't stand The Twilight Saga. LOL! But for those of you who live for The Twilight Saga, are you just going to check out the movie, or are you going to get the merchandise as well??

You can even clutter your room with these New Moon life-sized cardboard displays.

Or will you go for more bizarre New Moon merchandise, like this Edward, "Be Safe" wall decal? Bella's womb?? EWWWW!! Edward underwear?? gelakguling

I honestly don't mind this New Moon "stupid lamb" pillowcase though.. LOL!

For Whom Do We Live?

Posted by Shemah Sham | 11/20/2009 06:50:00 PM in | 0 comments

I've never really paid much heed about whole life insurance before. Only after having my 2 children, I get to thinking about the future, their security and so on..

Anyways, I found this beautiful touching ad about life insurance,

Instead of asking questions like, "Why were we put on earth?", "What is our purpose in life", etc.. we should just ask ourselves "for whom do we live?" I know that right now, I do love my children more than life itself, and I want them to have a secure life should I not be around..

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Posted by Shemah Sham | 11/17/2009 03:01:00 AM in ,| 0 comments

It's sooooooooo cold tonight due to the non-stop raining since morning. Actually the rain has stopped but the weather is just so chilly!! And because of the chilly weather, I can't help singing "Baby It's Cold Outside" in my head.

Anyways, I found a clip from one of my favourite Will Ferrell films, Elf where Zooey Deschanel was singing and he was so mesmerized that he started to "duet" with her. Except that she was in the shower! LOL!

I looove this movie. Definitely one of my favorite Christmas movies. Actually, my son got his nickname "Buddy" from this film. How? Well, that's a story for another time.

Here's the clip from Elf, I was talking about.

Oh, and for all of you out there gearing up for winter and want to crank up your furnace, you might want to check your furnace filters if it needs changing.

p/s: Don't you think Zooey Deschanel looks soooooooo much better as a brunette?? I adore her!

I Saw Him Standing There - Tiffany

I'm in the mood for a little 80's dance.. and I've loved this number ever since I was a little girl. Probably around Buddy's age.. and this was one of my faves! Even though I didn't know what it meant back then, I still loved it and I thought Tiffany was the most gorgeous singer ever!! ihikhik

And here we go!

1. The last band I saw live was not really a band. It was the Pussycat Dolls. I think. Or was it Indonesian band, Dewa 19?? Can't remember. It's been that long.

2. What I look forward to most on Christmas is being with family and the traditional Christmas dinner.

3. My Christmas/holiday shopping hasn't even started.

4. Thoughts of having billions of dollars fill my head.

5. I wish I could wear jumpsuits, rompers and harem pants without looking like a clown.

6. Bagpipes remind me of kilts and kilts remind me of Mel Gibson.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching Pride and Prejudice (AGAIN!), tomorrow my plans include working out and Sunday, I want to go out to a nice restaurant for a family dinner!

Blame It On Google Earth

Posted by Shemah Sham | 11/12/2009 10:21:00 PM in | 0 comments

My 5-year old son was checking out Google Earth and somehow, someway, he found Disneyland!! I have no idea how.. since I don't fiddle around with GE and don't even know how to operate GE, the hows and whys and whens of his findings are still a mystery to me.

Anyways, since he found "Disneyland", he has been talking about "going to see Mickey" ALL day! So, being a curious cat, I was checking out what offers they had and can you believe it?? They have vacation packages that allow children below 7 free meals, accommodation as well as entry to the Disney parks! Awesome, right?

So now, I'm pretty much researching any vacation packages on all inclusive resorts to find a really really great deal for a family vacation. Know any?

I know I've been saying I want to lose weight and I get on people's nerves because I'm supposedly "not fat enough" to warrant wanting to lose weight. Well, thing is, I don't want to wait until I'm obese before I start worrying. Obesity does run in my father's side of the family. So is that so wrong?? To worry about my weight?

Granted, I'm not FAT fat, but I AM flabby and I have more than enough blubber to keep me warm during these cold, rainy nights. So, from now on.. I will say I am F, flabby and not F, fat, even if I think I am. Deal??

ANYWAYS, I am pleased to say that my Billy Blanks cardio workout has worked some because it seems like I've lost an inch and a half around my belly. It really does seem like my belly fat has melted some.

So that's a great achievement and I hope to continue my workout regime!!

Thanks Billy Blanks!! sengihnampakgigi

Get a Five Star Home Mortgage!

Posted by Shemah Sham | 11/05/2009 10:32:00 PM in ,,| 0 comments

It's actually true when people say wanting to own a home is fairly easy. Thing is, you already know what you want. The features of the house that you want. What neighborhood you plan to live in. The true battle in buying a home, is... securing a loan.

Sure it might be much easier to secure a loan with good to excellent credit, but how about those trying to secure a loan with poor credit? Well, that's what FiveStarHomeMortgages.com is for.

They help match buyers to lenders that are most suited for each other. Those with great credit scores can try for the fixed rate or adjustable rate loans. If you have an excellent credit score, you might also be able to try out for the Jumbo/Super Jumbo loan which allows you to purchase a home above $417 000!!

For those with poor low income, disabilities or veterans, they can try the FHA/VA loans with mortgage terms that they can afford. Basically, whatever problem you're facing with securing a home loan, FiveStarHomeMortgages.com is there to help!!

Good luck purchasing your dream home!

Top First Commenters for October '09 *

Posted by Shemah Sham | 11/05/2009 01:42:00 PM in ,| 0 comments

The First Commenters Club was started by my dear blogging buddy, Mariuca, who came up with the idea of giving linky love to the first commenter who commented on the post. She then added a point system on the First Commenter Scoreboard (FCSB) to those first commenters and tallied it up at the end of the month.

This ultimately encourages people to comment on your blogs, follow your blog updates via subscription or via Twitter!

Normally, I'll be giving a special gift to my top FC, but considering how busy I am and will be in the next few months, I, like Debbie, will be giving 50 EC credits for each point earned instead.

So for last month, October 2009, the Top First Commenters on Never Enough Stuff are:

LadyJava - 6 points (300 ECs)
Mariuca - 4 points (200 ECs)
Gagay - 3 points (150 ECs)
Rizal - 2 points (100 ECs)
Debbie - 1 point (50 ECs)
Bill - 1 point (50 ECs)
Monica - 1 point (50 ECs)
Elai - 1 point (50 ECs)

Congratulations everyone!! And thanks for always rushing to "chop" and comment on my posts!

p/s: Check out MSE's Top FCs for Oct 2009 and see whether you made it to the list!

No Prince No Persia

Posted by Shemah Sham | 11/04/2009 09:24:00 PM in ,| 0 comments

Well, I'm sure by now, most of you have seen the newly released Prince Of Persia: Sands of Time movie trailer, right?

I remember playing the game last time on my computer, because my brothers were too busy playing it on their Playstation and I wanted to play so bad so I bought the game to play on my PC. I knew very little about the workings of the computer at that time and I didn't know that my comp needed one of those really good video cards to play those types of games. adus

So, I ended up NOT playing it, but just watching my brothers play it.. from the sidelines. Therefore, I'll have to settle with the movie which looks pretty cool, btw. Check out the Fabio-ish Jake Gyllenhaal! ihikhik

MM: Nessun Dorma - The Three Tenors**

Posted by Shemah Sham | 11/01/2009 09:58:00 PM in ,| 0 comments

It doesn't take an Opera lover to appreciate the beauty of this extraordinary harmony of beautiful words and melody combined. Here, I share with you... the beauty of Puccini's Nessun Dorma by The Three Tenors - Placido Domingo, Jose Carerras and the late Luciano Pavarotti.

It gives me goosebumps and makes me tear up everytime I watch this. This is PERFECTION. And I don't even understand what it's all about.

I know that not all people can stand Opera or classical music, some even say that it's the crappiest music they've ever heard of.. but just put on your headphones and listen.. and watch.. how can you not be moved by it at all?

Anyways, have a great Monday, everyone! Happy November! senyum

RIP Pavarotti. You are missed.
