To Gadgetize or Not to Gadgetize??

Posted by Shemah Sham | 1/29/2009 06:21:00 PM in | 0 comments

In this age of technological stuff and what nots, is it really hard to believe that I don't own an mp3 player, iPod, or any other thingamajig that's out there.. except for my mobile and my laptop.

Those are the only gadgets of mine that I own and love at the moment. I've been meaning to get the new iPod Nano-Chromatic.. the colors are just gorgeous!! But somehow, I haven't felt like getting it just yet.

After all, the price isn't THAT bad at all. For 8GB (approximately 2,000 songs and 8 hours worth of videos), you need to fork out about RM599. For the 16GB, it costs RM799.

Interested? You can read more on the iPod nano-Chromatic..

Back To My Tiny Abode

Posted by Shemah Sham | 1/29/2009 04:09:00 PM in ,| 0 comments

Woww.. after a whole long month being back here at mom's, I'm going back to my tiny tiny apartment in KL. I definitely have mixed feelings, leaving my family.. but looking forward to my own home with my husband and kids.

One part that I'm really looking forward to going back is IT'S TIME TO DECORATE MY HOUSE! I know, for the 2 months since we moved in to the house, we've been concentrating on the more important stuff and left the decoration part later.

So now that we're really settled, it's time to hit the stores!! Of course, hubby has set a budget for me to follow.. but still, any excuse to shop, I'm SO THERE!

If only we have Pottery Barn in Malaysia. I am in love with everything there. But then again, I don't think I can quite afford to go PB on my home.

Ooohhh.. isn't that simply gorgeous?!?!?! And that's just a small taste of what they have at PB.

*sigh*

Well, it doesn't matter.. I'm not going to let that deter me from my home deco shopping excursion! Yay!! I gotta get my Nike shoes ready.. I don't wanna hurt my feet from all that shopping! LOL!

But first of all, I need to plan out what I have in mind and the budget it needs. And if you guys have any ideas on what to get or where to go, by all means, let me know!

Wind of Change

I finally figured out why I am lacking in updates, on this particular blog of mine. Ideas are not lacking.. in fact I have a number of drafts that are just waiting to be completed and published.

It's just that.. how I feel about the look of this blog, is pretty much how I feel about the look of my body. I can accept the way my body is after giving birth to two munchkins.. but then at the same time, it makes me uninspired to go shopping and revamp my wardrobe, because I feel hideous in clothes that don't fit me right.

So basically, that's whats going on here. I love my blog.. but the layout isn't working out for me which makes me uninspired to blog much.

Having said that, this means that I am working on a new layout and I hope to reveal it real soon. I am quite happy with the progress and it's making me more excited to continue blogging and make Never Enough Stuff thrive!!

Wish me luck!!

The Music Monday Spell

Posted by Shemah Sham | 1/12/2009 01:15:00 AM in ,,,| 0 comments

These past few days I've felt like the hours are just not enough for me to complete all the things that I want to do. I seriously need a daily planner so I can organize my time and my activities and my ONLINE activities.. If I don't, I'll end up losing much needed sleep!

So needless to say, I haven't had time to finish the book I was reading.. just some chick lit that I found in my mom's room.. I don't have it with me right now.. I might just blog about it later. But thanks to Jim Dale's Harry Potter audiobook (Book 1-Book 7), all I have to do is plug in my headphones, lay down and enjoy my listening to my books! It's truly amazing! If you can, try and get your hands on it and enjoy it!

To be honest, I'm still feeling a little "bewitched" from listening to my Harry Potter audiobooks that I hope my Music Monday choice will put a spell on you..

2009 Daily Planner for Parents

Posted by Shemah Sham | 1/10/2009 09:01:00 PM in ,| 0 comments

2009 is going to be one hectic year for me, what with my son starting school, (actually he's just starting kindergarten) and trying to handle my 3 blogs... AND throw in my duties from my job as a wife, mother of 2, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, friend...

So anyways, I was looking for a planner to help me organize my daily routine, children's appointments, vacations (I wish!), and other what-have-yous.

I found some really nice day planners and home organizers made especially for mothers over at momAgenda.

The 2008-2009 momAgenda Personal Portfolio is a great planner provides you all the essentials you need in a planner. What I like about the planners are, they have ample space for you to write in (with a unique weekly layout with space for mom and up to four children).

But since I'm no Bree Van de Kamp, I don't need a planner like that. The other daily planners like the ones below, would suffice. As far as prices go, for the normal daily planners like shown below, retail prices start at $35 - $45, but now, they have a special momAgenda discount and you can get them at 40% - 50% off!

I did see some eBay auctions (that ship worldwide) on these items, but the price is more or less the same as you can get on the website.

However, the one worth bidding for is the 2008-2009 momAgenda Personal Portfolio in Croc Crimson.

The price is waaay cheaper but bidding will still be going on for another 2 days. So if you too, are searching for a 2009 daily planner or home organizer, you might wanna check these out. For the fathers out there, there's absolutely no harm in having a look see too. Don't worry.. I won't tell!

momAgenda also offers other items such as clipboards, tote bags, chores pads, wall calenders, notepads, etc.

The book I'm listening to..

Posted by Shemah Sham | 1/08/2009 01:21:00 AM in ,| 0 comments

Upon doing my EC rounds, I stumbled upon Justin Germino's blog, and read his thoughts on audiobooks.

The only audiobooks that I've ever listened to, were those that came with a nursery rhyme book. They used to have cassettes accompanying children's books those days, right? Now, they've upgraded to CDs and DVDs.

Anyways, as I was saying, Justin was talking about how listening to audiobooks are one of his favorite hobbies. Being a busy person with 1001 things to do before the day is over, reading is just not a privilege anymore. So he resorts to audiobooks. Among some of the audiobooks that he recommended was, the Harry Potter series - narrated by Jim Dale.

Since I am such a Harry Potter fan AND the fact that my kid sister uses me to tell her the story (she's too lazy to read 'em herself), I thought I should try and get a hold of it and see how it is. So I did. And it's pretty awesome. I got the whole set from Book 1 to Book 7 and listening to it right now. Well, not NOW now........ it's on pause.

So for those either lazy to read, don't have time to read, or don't have anything better to do, you might wanna try listening to it! It's really cool, actually..

Although as Justin said, if you choose a bad one, it will really ruin your first audiobook experience. Some of his other recommendations were Stephen King's books narrated by George Guidall or Frank Muller. If you're into sci-fi, check out the Star Wars or Star Trek series.

Downloading audiobooks are also formatted to be compatible with your iPod, so it's definitely a plus! Well, with you guys being the download masters, I guess I won't have to tell you where to go to download them, huh? ;)

I hope you give it a try.. don't say you wouldn't like it unless you haven't tried!
