Almonds for Weight Loss

Right! So as you may or may not know, I am on a 3-month BD challenge and I am educating myself on what the best foods are for those on their journey to weight loss. Truth be told, I have been educating myself for the past 5 years but then again, educating and practicing are not one and the same. You can read law books all you want but that doesn't make you a lawyer right?

So anyways, back to ALMONDS.

According to FitnessMagazine,



Almonds contain filling protein and fiber, not to mention vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant. They're also a good source of magnesium, a mineral your body must have in order to produce energy, build and maintain muscle tissue, and regulate blood sugar. "A stable blood-sugar level helps prevent cravings that can lead to overeating and weight gain," says David Katz, MD, a professor at the Yale University School of Medicine. But what makes almonds most interesting is their ability to block calories. Research indicates that the composition of their cell walls may help reduce the absorption of all of their fat, making them an extra-lean nut.

You can take all the diet pills that work but in the end, it's your food habits and your lifestyle that really gives you the best state of health. Body, mind and soul!
